The ASCO Central and Eastern Europe Regional Council has identified a need for training in molecular tumor boards (MTBs). This 6-session virtual Project ECHO program is designed to increase knowledge of MTBs, create a network of like-minded professionals in the Region to share experiences, and to contribute to improved access of MTBs. The interactive program consists of six 1.5-hour monthly sessions that include didactics from recognized experts in the field and multidisciplinary case-based discussions.
Schedule: Every other Wednesday evening in the Central and Eastern European Region.
Target Audience:
Multidisciplinary participation from Central and Eastern European countries who currently, or wish to, participate in molecular tumor boards within their institutions. These include: oncologists, hematologist, molecular pathologists, cancer geneticists, and cancer genetic counselors.
Program Learning Objectives:
- Understand the Role and Importance of Molecular Tumor Boards
- Identify and Overcome Barriers to Molecular Testing and Molecular Tumor Board Implementation
- Learn how to Integrate Genomic Data into Clinical Practice
- Participate in case-based learning and mock Molecular Tumor Board discussions
